Covid Journal –

I am loving the dreamy Spring blue skies, slow, calm, and  holiday feel at the moment.

Yet this is an April like no other in memory. Mixed with the sunshine emotions, there are the clouds of our communal lockdown cabin fever - at times moody, angry, and sad feelings living with the necessary prison like restrictions.

As work levels have almost stopped I have had time to work on the business rather than in the business, to breath and reflect on my work. It’s a great time for self enquiry.

What I love about being a surveyor and RICS valuer?

  • I love that like people, property is multi-dimensional.

  • I love guiding clients to be aware of the condition and the value of their residential properties.

  • I love supporting clients with an ongoing valuable personable quality service.

  • I love sharing my knowledge and hard earned experience.

  • I love running my own business with authenticity, being curious, analytical, persistent, and motivated to continually professionally expand my myself and grow my business.

 

What are the benefits of surveys and valuations?

  • Property owners and buyers to know the current value or decide what is a reasonable price to pay.

  • Take account of any repairs or replacements identified.

  • Reflect on any further advice in the case of a purchase before committing to go ahead.  

  • My report clearly communicates the property value and/or condition. It is easy to read by an average person, rather than condescending, patronising or full of jargon.
